Maamwesying is a health service delivery corporation that services the First Nation communities along the North Shore.
With an increasingly large service area and expanding programming and service range, it is more important than ever for Maamwesying to explore engaging their clients through enhancement of their online marketing efforts.
By profiling their innovative programming through engaging videos tailored to social media as well as facilitating delivery through their website, we are helping them to connect with their clients.  This also serves to demonstrate the organizations effectiveness to their funders and stakeholders.

The Creators Care Program

Maamwsying has been developing an innovative approach to palliative care in First Nation communities along the North Shore.  Lead by their Community Support Services program manager, they engaged local seniors by enlisting them in an advisory council to better describe the needs of the elderly in their community and specifically in regards to palliative care services.
We captured a series of interviews with Maamwesying staff, members of the Senior Advisory Committee, as well as the family of a client in Batchewana First Nation.  We then produced a short documentary about what would become the Creator’s Care Palliative Care Program, an innovative new model for palliative care services.

The Creator’s Care

The Creator’s Care Program documentary has been seen across Ontario by hundreds of health care professionals and the program is now being implemented into the main stream health sectors approach to end of life care on a national level.  This program aims to keep the elderly in their homes with their families, surrounded by their loved ones through their final transition.

The Naandwe Noojimowin Program

Another one of Maamwesying’s truly innovative programs, the Naandwe Noojimowin program is about family reconciliation and childhood trauma as delivered through a 5 day residential program.  For our first project for Maamwesying some years ago, we produced a roughly 20 minute promotional video with footage we captured through interviews, during the program, and other community events.  This project remains close to our hearts and we are proud to play any small part in the programs success with engaging community involvement.

Given the sensitive nature of the source material work and out of respect for the participants, we will only show the promotional clip version above.
